What is included with the new Venipuncture Training Aids 1352/1353 & 1354/1355?
The models contain either two (1352/1353) or four (1354/1355) blue veins which are barely discernable through the semi-transparent, non-staining, tissue-like material. The 1352/1353 measures 6 1/2"" X 3 1/4" X 1 3/8" and the 1354/1355 measures 6 1/2" X 5 1/2" X 1 3/8".

What are the differences between the 1352/1353 & 1354/1355 models?
The 1352 model has two barely discernable blue veins of different inside diameters positioned at the same depth below the surface. The 1354 model has four barely discernable blue veins with three different inside diameters – the fourth vein being more deeply placed below the surface.
How do I tell if I'm in the vein?
You will feel a "pop" as the needle enters the vein and you will be able to draw back on the syringe, creating a vacuum. If a vacuum is created by drawing back on a syringe attached to the IV catheter, it is either inserted too far or not far enough.
Which model is better?
Both models offer advantages. The 1352/1353 is small and light while the 1354/1355 has a greater variety of veins taking twice as many "sticks" since it has twice the number of veins.
What do I use to clean these models?
You can use soap and water or alcohol. The tissue-like material is non-staining so this should not be a problem.
Can I put dressings on these models?
Dressings can be placed on these models but due to the non-staining properties of the tissue-like material, adhesion will be minimal.
How should I store the model when not in use?
Drain the simulated blood as described in the User's Manual and place the cover over the tissue pad. DO NOT STORE WITH ITEMS DIRECTLY ON THE TISSUE PAD AS THIS WILL DAMAGE THE PAD.
Is this model available in a darkly pigmented color?
Yes, 1353 (two vein) and 1355 (four vein) are the product numbers for these models in a darkly pigmented color.
